Yo!
So I haven't posted anything since this summer....I think (let me check)....Nope June....since this spring!
So here is a little update on my first month of Jr. Year!!!!
Lets start with the crappies...then we will talk about all the Happies!
Let me say this first: I am taking some really hard courses.
I have calculus 4 days a week at 8 am. Now this may not seem like much but here at Whitworth, classes are normally Mon, Wed, Friday or Tuesday and Thursday. So it is asking a lot to get up four days a week for one class. Also, it is an 8 am class and Whitworth is a university...therefore, I am up late almost every night.
I am also taking Comparative Politics and International Development with the same professor. She assured me before entering the classes that they could be worked together and sometimes I can see what she means....but most of the time I have a hard time connecting the two. I often just sit silently in class while others talk. Which is not fun for me but I get stuck just thinking about how little I think I know....I need to stop that.
I am also taking core 250, so far the funnest class I have which is saying something. It is very interesting but I feel like they lack some diversity in the course. It is all about this one type of person. However, I often leave laughing and also with my mind blown at how amazing the human mind is...I mean who has time to think about stuff like that! Especially when they were alive for forty years! I mean, this generation needs to pick it up! We get around 80 years and yet...I do not see people studying this hard or this deeply....I mean, I am sure they are out there but....where?
I am still waiting for ice-skating to start.

Happies!
Okay, first off, I live in the coolest pod! We have two girls named Hannah and Bella. They play tennis and are super cool! The room next to mine and Jes' is full with three of the sweetest, most mature, funniest, freshman girls in the whole world! Clemence is a sass master! She just looks at you and you know that she is smarter than you and that you are dumb...but that never makes you feel bad because you already knew that and she still loves you. Linnea is...just cool. She loves music and nothing brings me greater joy then walking into the pod, when she thinks she is alone, and hearing her play her guitar. She is super smart and what I love most about her is that she has such a level head and will tell it like it is....and she hates it when people get put down or put themselves down. She is all about loving yourself and loving others. Kyla is the last girl and she is so wonderfully friendly and nerdy and awesome! She is on a mission to decrease worldsuck. She has this insane giggle that makes you warm up inside and her friends are killer! I like to think that they are becoming my friends too....just because she did such a great job at picking them. She really does light up a room.
The girls: Clemence (Left), Kyla, and Linnea!

Honestly, this year has been full of laughter and tears and good times already. I honestly feel like I know more people this year and that I am able to appreciate the late nights more....
I miss Andie a lot (my roommate for the past two years).....
Andie in China! Looking Great!
but I know she is having a blast and Jes and I are really working well together. Some of my favorite moments have been with her....just freaking out.
Dying of Laughs with Jes
I have met tons of new people through Jes and just by putting myself out there a little more....
I feel so loved this year. It is kind of overwhelming.

So today:

So last night I stayed up late getting to know Kyla's friends, and Kyla, better so I went to bed late....a little later than I should have. But, I woke up this morning and videotaped my walk to wake me up (You can watch it above). I have a class in about two hours again (international development) and from there I will have a couple of hours for math homework and then another class....work and then....hopefully some essay writing. Another full day but another beautiful day!
